STEP 2 : KNOW THE LATEST TREND OF TEST PAPERS
The JAM Exam is a single day online examination of three hours, with total 60 questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks.
The question paper has three section.
Section–A Total 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ’S) involves 10 questions of one mark each and 20 questions of two marks each.
Section–B Total of 10 Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) carrying two marks each. Each MSQ type question is similar to MCQ but with a difference that there may be one or more one or more than one options correct.
Section–C Total of 20 Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions involving 10 questions carries 1 mark each and 10 questions carries two marks each. For these NAT type questions, the answer is a signed real number or may be interger.

STEP 6 : TIPS AND TRICKS TO FOLLOW DURING PREPARATION
Understand the previous year questions(PYQ’S) pattern and it’s level
Practice alot previous year questions(PYQ’s) during your preparation days
Try to develop and remember the concepts, practice mock tests and revise them in a regular manner.
Majority of the asked questions in JAM Examination are concept based & numerical type, so you need to improve your numerical solving ability & time management and accuracy to score a very good rank.
Your strategy should include overall syllabus completion, its revision, and practicing mock tests with above mentioned qualities in you.
It is a very good idea to develop a time table and regulate and implement on daily basis. Once you are able to achieve short targets daily, weekly and monthly targets, you will get best results for the same at the end.
During preparation always start with simple topic and important important. Toppers advice is to begin with basic and conceptual topic.
Read every to complete entire subject.
Make Gists and revisions notes for each topic that should cover important points only(formulas, concepts etc.) .
